Baseball’s winter meetings were canceled, while an owner imposed moratorium on teams signing free agent players was in place, and so there was no Rule 5 draft last off season. One of the casualties of the owners’ 99 day lockout of the players last winter was the 2021 edition of the Rule 5 draft.
